Greenland’s nursery is a small friendly caring nursery situated within Greenland’s C.P. School. It was opened in 1999 by Mrs Marian Middleton and Mrs Faith Thomas. Although we are independent from the school we work very closely with them.
We are dedicated and skilled in delivering a fantastic early years’ experience, ensuring the children in our care are happy and safe. We provide a wealth of activities, and give the best learning experience to help each child develop and strive at their own pace. The environment is planned to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
All staff are qualified in paediatric first aid and safeguarding.
Our nursery is ‘outstanding’ in engaging with parents/carers and work hard to develop strong links with them. We are very good when working in partnership with other services, i.e. health visitors, speech therapists etc.
The nursery is a non-profit making setting run by a voluntary, management committee. We offer places for 3-4 year olds and take 16 children per session. All children are offered a variety of nutritional snacks each day, along with a choice of water and milk to drink.
We are open 5 mornings a week term time only 8.45 – 11.45am.
